About Me

Hi my name is Arcangela, I come from Tonga but I was born in Samoa. My dad is Tongan and my mum is Samoan. I am a year 5 and I go to Saint Mary's in Gisborne. I live with my brother, mother and father.

I love ice cream. I am good at soccer and my goals for this year are to be a good role model and a class captain.                                             

This year I am looking forward to the camp at the end of the year and I want to get a lot of awards in sports and in school.

Happy Samoan Language Week everyone 

Brothers find gold while building hut

This week I enjoyed  going on kiwi kids news.  Looking at cool and amazing stuff on the news, I even read this article that said that two brothers in france were building a hut and found a  gold  that has an estimated value of $60,000NZD.

 The boys, both about 10 years old, found the gold bars in their attic after using old bed sheets.

The bedding belonged to their late grandmother. When they took the sheets the gold bars just fell out onto the ground.

Out of curiosity, the boys’ father contacted a local auctioneer, Philippe Rouillac, who valued the gold bars.

It turns out that the bars were purchased by the grandmother in 1967 and even come with a proof of purchase.
